Sleeping on the floor is so much fun!!!!!

Here are my 2 very sweet (well sometimes!!), children, fast asleep tonight.....on the bedroom floor!!
(please note ~ it was dark in the room ~ I ran in, took the picture and ran out ~ hoping the flash wouldn't wake them ha ha!!!).
They are very excited at the moment, as the bunk beds have been taken apart (ready for the delivery of the new beds ~ the first one this Saturday!), so they are having to slum it for 3 nights and sleep on the floor. Daniel is infact sleeping on both the bunk bed matresses and Lauren is on her pink princess ready bed. I was a little worried about the arrangement, and feared that they would moan about having to sleep on the floor, but they were really excited and even insisted on sleeping side by side, even though there is now lots of room to spread out!!!

I have told them that it is only a temporary arrangement until the weekend ~ but they both seem keen to sleep on the floor forever (why did I bother ordering new beds tee hee!! Only Joking!!). Please note the gorgeous YELLOW paint in the background ~ it nearly killed me getting the room all painted in time for Saturday ~ I never thought it would be so hard to paint one room ~ but when you work until 6pm and then have your own 2 very (UN) helpfull helpers wanting to make a mess ~ oops I meant paint the walls ~ it has taken longer than expected!!

I am looking for curtains tomorrow ~ although I have no idea what colour to get ~ I think I will just go with the flow and see what takes my fancy!!

Hi Tabitha

What a novelty to sleep on the floor. I remember when my sister and I were little and we used to think it was the best thing if we were allowed to sleep in our sleeping bags on the floor for a night.

Once Daniel and Lauren see their new beds that will be exciting and the new novelty. They will be so keen to sleep in their brand new beds.

I did notice the yellow wall and you did a fabulous job. I am looking forward to hearing about what you came up with for the curtains.

Love and hugs
Elise

I'm sure the new beds will be appreciated once they've been put up, but for the time being they sure don't seem to have any problems sleeping on the 'floor'!

Well, you have seen how my twins sleep! We are used to odd sleeping arrangements. As long as the kids are happy and well rested in the morning is all that matters! :-D
