Put the paintbrush down ~ and step away from the paint!!!

I finally bought the paint ~ Lemon Tropics !!! (Who thinks up these names??)

I bought the paint pads and paint brush!!!!

Decided we need some new furniture ~ my bedtime reading tonight lol!!

The new paint colour guide ~ only the living room left to paint now ~ yet more bedtime reading!!

Forgot to take any before pictures (it was cream coloured!!!).....but here is a half finished room!!

Bought the kids a new bedroom roller blind ~ just need curtains and a lampshade now!!!

Hurray!!!! ~ We made it to the pictures ~ Harrison Ford Here I come !!!!!!

At last I have bought the paint for the childrens bedroom!! It was a difficult task ~ Daniel wanted blue (his football teams colours!!) and Lauren wanted pink or purple!!! SO ~ I decided to buy yellow as a compromise!!! BUT ~ no, you cannot go and buy yellow paint ~ there are SOOOOOOOO many yellows, different shades and all with very different names ~ after ages standing there looking at pots and pots of paint ~ we decided on a yellow called ' Lemon Tropics' ~ the children said it reminded them of sunshine!!

Home we went, and I got changed into some old clothes and Operation Paint the Bedroom started!!! I actually got all but one wall completely finished and also put up their new roller blind. We have to choose some curtains and a lampshade and then the room is all ready for when the new beds are delivered. Daniels is coming some time on Saturday and I am waiting for a delivery date for Laurens!!!!

While in Homebase I decided to have a quick peek at the furniture and promptly decided that we need some new bits and pieces, so I have picked up the home catalogue and will be making a 'Wish List' tonight (I am terrible for making wish lists ~ all I have to do is actually save the money to buy it all LOL!!!). I also picked up the paint colour guide ~ so that I can decide what colour to paint the livingroom (and then that will be the whole place painted ~ yippeeee!!!).

I got so totally and utterly engrossed in the painting that I forgot that I had booked tickets to see Indiana Jones ~ Daniel came in and reminded me (thank goodness!!), so it was a quick change and then off we went to the cinema.

The film was fantastic ~ I love Indiana Jones and thoroughly enjoyed it!!! There were a few moments when Lauren grabbed my arm tightly and nearly dropped the popcorn!!

Harrison Ford did not dissapoint and thanks to Dani, I spent the whole film looking at his trousers ~ as I read in her blog that they were his original ones from the other films (OK, that and the fact that I quite like Harrison Ford anyway!!).......

It was great just sitting there for a few hours, doing nothing, and watching the film ~ at last a bit of relaxation this weekend!! Tomorrow the last wall will be finished (at some stage), and then the bedroom makeover will be complete!!! Then I will sit back and put my feet up (for a bit!!) ~ before the Living Room makeover starts!!!

Tut-tut, how could you nearly miss Harrison?!!
Your handy around the house! If i can 'pay' a man to do the painting i will pay him!
My walls are painted magnolia and there are always dirty marks over them with grubby little boys hands! So i am forced to 'touch up' alot:(
Hope you had a good day and your eyes are not too sore looking at Harrisons pants....
Love Amanda xx

You are clever to paint. I like the idea but the actual doing bit seems a little too much for me.

Maddy was lucky to see Indiana, but I haven't got there yet.

Hope it is all looking good.

Hi Tabitha

What a talented girl you are to paint the rooms in your house. The colour you chose for the children's bedrooms looks and sounds like such a bright refreshing colour. Why is it that when you start out on a minor makeover it always gets bigger than the original plan? How exciting for Daniel and Lauren to be getting new beds. Their rooms are going to look fantastic.

Troy and I want to see the new Indiana Jones movie and like you, I would be checking out HF pants because of Dani's blog post as well.

Love and hugs
Elise
