The tea set survived the 2 hours of baking in the oven ~ there was no smoke or fire, just a bit of a funny smell ~ but it didn't explode ~ which was my main fear (ha ha).
Lauren is so pleased ~ she worked really hard and has completed it in record time (I thought she would be at it alot longer!!).
She wants to play with it now, but unfortunately she has to go to school ~ but I am sure she will be playing with it the minute she gets in!!

Thats really cute. I did have faith in you that it would work out just fine.
So you guys will be having a tea party after school then..?
Lauren really is a pretty wee girl, bet she takes her looks of her Mum!

Oh Lauren, what a beautiful tea set you have created. I'm sure it would be an honour for any of your family or special friends to play with such a stunning tea set. Your mummy did a fine job with the baking part, as I knew she would.
I hope to see some photos soon of you using your creation. Congratulations on a super job.
Hi Amanda,
Yes, she will be using it after school ~ she has all her dolls ready!!
The 2 hours were a bit worrying ~ due to the funny smell it made ~ I was convinced it would explode (hehe!!). The wine helped to ease the panic (I sound like an alcoholic ha ha!!!!).
I don't know where Lauren got her looks from ~ not me, she is blonde with blue eyes and I have dark hair and dark eyes ~ my ex has the blue eyes ~ but no idea where the hair came from !!!!!!!!

Hi Elise,
Thank you for your lovely comment, I am so glad you had faith in my abilities ~ it was one of those things that she was so proud of and I just prayed nothing would go wrong ~ I would have felt so bad if it had come out black (haha).
She is already working on the next craft activity (I can't keep up with her!!!).
Hope all is well with you,
Hugs,

awwwwwwwwwwwwwwww... i knew you could do it. lauren did a great job painting; and see you CAN bake after all (lol!!!). she is such a doll:D and i can tell how proud she is of her set, and she should be!!!
tabitha, is lauren a tea drinker; if so, what is her favorite flavor. we went to a fondue recently, and my friend isabelle served bubble gum flavored tea for the kids. has lauren ever tried that??? i didn't even know they made such a flavor:/
hope you are having a nice afternoon!!!
love and hugs,

Hi Dani,
Yes, I am now the worlds best baker......of tea sets lol!!!!!
Lauren has been playing with it non stop since she came home from school ~ am just charging the camera battery to try and get piccies of her!!
She doesn't actually drink tea ~ she is using water with food colouring in it (but not actually drinking it - I hope!!).
We love fondue, but we have never had bubble gum flavour tea ~ I like the sound of that ~ I am a tea ~ aholic !!!
We have had a good day ~ apart from rain, hail stones, thunder and lightening ~ British weather ~ awful~ awful~awful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Roll On summer ~ I need SUN!!!!

Hi Vanessa (and Kara),
So lovely to see you back again.
The tea set was great ~ Lauren enjoyed every second of doing it.
The ELC is great ~ we get lots of craft things from there. Lauren will be in there at the weekend, choosing the next thing she wants to do!!!! I hope you get Kara one, would love to see photos of her finished set ~ they are so sweet and once you have 'baked' them, they will hold liquid safely!!!
Lauren is having a tea party as I type this.
Warmest wishes,
Hugs to Kara,

That is just so very sweet!
My girls have a plastic set that they play with in our farm sink.
Your comment over on my blog meant a lot. Thank you!
Hi Amanda ~
I love reading your blog, and I will be a firm follower of what you have been up to from now on.
Your words were lovely and I could really identify with what you felt.
Lauren wants to take her tea set in the bath ~ it is her favourite toy of the moment!!
Take care,
warmest wishes,
