Snowy Day

These pictures are of what we woke up to this morning - Snow - quite alot of it aswell. It came as a bit of a shock, I can't ever remember it snowing that heavily here, in the 10 years that we have lived here.

The kids thought that it was great, so we were out quite early messing about in it and throwing snowballs (most of which were aimed at me - ha ha!!). We met up with my friend Jane and her kids and made a snowman in the garden.....unfortunately by about 1pm it had all started to thaw and it has all but gone now.

We are still off on the holiday tomorrow, although we have had to have a bit of a re think about what we will do, and have scoured the internet for some fun things to do if the weather is a bit colder than anticipated.

Hope you all have a nice week, we will be back late Friday, so no doubt I will update the blog on Saturday with all our boring - oops I meant very exciting holiday photos.

Hi Dani, It was great fun, but unfortunately it has all thawed now into a horrible wet mush!!!
Funny you should mention Dakota Fanning, as Lauren is actually quite the little actress - usually the drama starts when I ask her to tidy her room, clean her teeth etc etc....at the moment she is pretending to be Sharpay from High School Musical....don't think I need say anymore (ha ha) X

You would think living in Scotland we would have some snow like that, but we, as usual had a pathetic dusting, which melted as soon as it touched the ground!

Looks like you had great fun though!

Have a great holiday!

Hi Amanda, You couldn't have got anyone more suprised than me, when I drew up the kitchen blind this morning and everything was white!
We NEVER get snow like this - I blame it on the fact that we are going on holiday (ha ha).
You have a great week and I look forward to seeing you back here next weekend.

I am doing whatever the EYE equivalent is of covering my ears and saying "La la la." I DO NOT see any snow, because it is SPRING.

Hi Swistle,
I know the feeling, that is how I felt when I opened the blinds and saw it...roll on summer!!!
