I just clicked on the weather page on the computer, to see what temperatures we can expect tomorrow ~ after another glorious sunny hot day, and here is what it said ~
"Mays record breaking temperatures will be a fading memory by the weekend ~ forecasters are predicting. Britain is heading for cooler, wetter weather, with more cloud and rain by Friday"
I am sobbing as I write this (well, almost!!!!). I suppose I had better put away the suncream and the shorts and get out the rain coats and the umbrellas. Here comes the rain ~ let the true British summer begin!!!

We have storms coming in tonight also, if that makes you feel any better. WE are expecting rain for several days. It's been in the 90's here for the past week or so, so we can use the cooling off, but the rain - blech!

You can always hope that the forecasters have got it wrong!!
How much rain do you normally get during the summer? We have the oppposite problem here in Australia, we can't get enough rain and our dams are drying up, hence the water restrictions that we have in place.
Isn't it ironic, you're not looking forward to the rain, yet many Aussies, particulalry our farmers, would love a decent drop of it. If only it could fall where it is needed and wanted.
I hope that you do get to enjoy more of that beautiful weather, where the skies are blue and the sun is shining.

Britain usually gets lots of rain, last year summer was about a week of hot weather and the rest was a wash out ~ hence the flooding in recent years!!
Like you said, it is ironic, we Brits get lots and hate it, where as you get none and need it ~
So far this morning, the sun is out and shining ~ maybe the forecasters are wrong!!

It's supposed to rain here tomorrow too, but although it's sunny today, it's quite cold, temp about 14 and a cold wind:(
