Just a walk in the woods!!!

Two tired children ~ under my bed cover!!!!!

Posing by a tree!!

Lauren took this photo of some bluebells!!!

No~she couldn't go round the mud ~ much better to go through it!!!!!

Messing about in the puddles!!!

Trees!!!!!!!!!

Fun at the woodland park!!!

Daniel formulating a plan!!!!

Enjoying the walk!!!

Going on a mission!!!

Lauren on the adventure park

Holding on for dear life!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As today is a Bank Holiday and none of us have to go to work or school ~ my friend Jane and I decided that it would be nice for a day at the beach.............typically the good old british weather had other ideas ~ and although (just for a change!!) it didn't rain, it wasn't hot enough for a day on the beach!!! Instead we decided to take the children to the woods for a walk and a picnic.

We had a truly fantastic time ~ a bit muddy in places ~ and the children had great fun exploring the woods and playing at the park at the end of the walk. Jane and I were doing a trial run of the speed walking that we are starting in a few weeks (decided that it is time to get fit ~ again!!!).

We have come home and had dinner, and the children are lying on the sofa (under my bed cover!!), watching a film......I am tired aswell and a bit muddy and in need of a bubble bath!!!!!
As far as Bank Holidays go ~ this has been a good one!!!!

Looks like good fun was had all round!
My boys would not only step in the puddles, they would roll in them too!
It was really hot today, my boys had a good old water fight in the street, there was a mass of kids in their bikini's and swim shorts!
That was the site that greeted me when coming home from work!
Anyway , i'm sure you little ones will sleep well tonight!

Hi Amanda ~ I think that Lauren should have been a boy!! She loves mud and getting messy ~ and she loves ballet and being girly too (weird child!!).
There were kids here yesterday in swim stuff ~ but it wasn't that hot ~ it's much better today ~ I have got my legs out haha!!
Have a good day

Hi Dani ~ it was a lovely day and we were all in bed early ~ which was good!!
The children went round the play park course about 10 times, no wonder they were tired!!!
You can usually guarantee rain on a bank holiday in the UK, but yesterday was really great!!

Hi Tabitha

It looks like so much fun was had by everyone and a perfect way to spend the bank holiday.

I think all kids believe puddles and mud are for playing and jumping in. I guess it is one of the joys of being a child.

Love and hugs
