Lazy, Lazy, Lazy!!

I have been a very lazy 'blogging' person and haven't posted the photos of Dan when he was a baby or all the other exciting (well I think so.....), things that I wanted to write about.......Instead I have been sitting in the sun reading my book and being a right lazy woman!!!!

The weekend has been wonderful, wall to wall sunshine (I am starting to think that I keep waking up in the wrong country ~ this cannot be England in May!!! ~ ). Lauren is practising for a show at her tap and ballet classes, and it will be put on for paying customers (by the dance school), at the end of July. She is very excited and goes through the dances at every possible available moment (including yesterday in the supermarket!!!). Saturday afternoon we spent wandering around a shopping outlet village ~ and the children got to spend their hard earned pocket money (Lauren on a HSM wig!!?? and Dan on a water pistol!!).

Yesterday we went for yet another walk in the woods, so that Jane and I could do a bit more for our fitness regime. We walked the same route as last weekend, which is about 4 miles, only this weekend it was alot hotter and by the end we were almost falling over with exhaustion!!!
Luckily as we came to the end of the walk we spotted the ice cream van and that made us walk faster!!

We then went for a BBQ at Janes and the children had a water fight in the garden (somehow I managed to get wet too!!). Unfortunately we were having so much fun that we completely forgot about the sausages and they ended up very black!!!

All in all another great weekend! Back to the routine of the school runs this morning and my childminding children arrive at 10.30am today, so I have about half an hour of peace before the madness starts (I love it really!!!).

It is quite unbelievable isn't it, this weather we're having. Enjoy it while you can I would say. Neither England nor Belgium are known for their ever lasting sunny weather!!!

oh, tabitha, your weekend sounds like it was heavenly (except, lol, for the 4 mile power-walk, UGH!!!)!!! we had rain, cool temps, and (get this)... 65 mph wind gusts... that's not uk weather: i'm not sure to whom that weather belongs!!!
however, it is a very beautiful day today.
love and hugs,

Hi Tania,
I agree ~ where has this gorgeous weather come from???
This time last year I was moaning about the rain...but now it is glorious sunshine, I just want it to go on and on!!!(but as you said that is very unlikely!!)

Hi Amanda,
It is funny how the sight of an icecream van can suddenly make you forget how tired you are!!!

Believe me ~ these sausages were not just burnt, they had well and truly been cremated!!!

You have a good evening too.

Hi Dani ~ goodness, where did you get that weather from??? I am sure that these nice few weeks we have had will not last ~ England at this time of year usually means rain!!
The walk was great and I actually didn't ache this time (damn ~ why didn't that Hotpoint guy come this week!!!!). I used to be ultra fit when I was in the police, but after leaving and having 2 kids, things have tended to slide a bit ~ so now is the time to get fit again!!!!!
Have a wonderful day ~ whatever you may be up to.
love and hugs

Hi Tabitha

Sounds as though you are taking advantage of the glorious weather. When the sun is shining, it's always too good an opportunity to miss.

Good on Lauren for taking every single opportunity to practice for her concert. How cute that she broke into dance in the middle of the supermarket, a born entertainer I would say.

If I was nearly at the point of exhaustion after a big walk in the heat, the one thing that would get me moving would have to be ice cream. I bet those ice creams tasted so good.

Love and hugs
Elise
