Mummy doesn't exist ~ when the Wii is on!!!!
My new photo album, all ready for me to destroy ~ oops I mean make beautiful!!
The children were given a Nintendo Wii for Christmas ~ from their Father. Although they are not the kind of children who like to be inside playing games (they would much rather be outside causing trouble lol!!) ~ they do occasionally like to play each other at the sports and racing games.
A week or so ago I bought them a game that sounded quite interesting to me, it is called Cooking Mama and it basically is a game where you cook!! Oooh I thought, what a good way to have some fun and improve my cooking!!!!! Well, the game is great fun and the children love it BUT ~ it has not actually improved the standard of my cooking one bit (as the poor worn out smoke alarm will tell you!!! ha ha!!). Anyway, tonight the children decided that they would have a cook off between the pair of them ~ so battle commenced..........there was much shouting and arguing between them and Lauren told Daniel he was cheating (every time she was loosing!). I must have asked them about a million times what they wanted for dinner, but they were totally oblivious to the fact that I even existed and carried on flinging their arms about with the controllers (goodness knows what they were cooking). In the end I just gave up and went and made them something that I thought they would like!! It is so nice that my children actually pay attention to me (NOT!!).
Tonight I have been sorting out photographs, ready to put in albums. This is a job that I have been meaning to do for a long time, but as with everything else, I just never got round to it. Today I went and bought an album (I wanted 4, but the shop only has 1 at the moment, until more are in stock later this week). I intend to use this first album for pictures of both the children and then do an album of them individually aswell. In the morning I am going to the craft shop to buy some bits and pieces to decorate the inside of the album, so that it looks a bit more colourful and fun (all ideas very welcome ~ please!!). At least when this is completed I won't have to root through boxes when I am looking for a particular photo, it should be in an album (well that is the plan!!).
It has been quite an easy and uneventfull day today, but for some reason I am still exhausted!! Children have a tendency to do that to you ha ha!!
Back to the photo sorting now, and I hope you can give me some ideas as to how I can decorate these albums!!! (as they will look very boring with just plain white pages!!) X

We have cooking mama for the nintendo ds lite!
I got it for myself thinking that the boys won't like it (girls game).
But they enjoy it very much.
How about doing themes for the photo album. If you can remember what they were into at various stages when they were growing up, teletubies etc.. put some HSM things along with Laurens photos( include the ticket stubs from the show you have just seen) So not only do you have photos of them growing up but various other keepsakes of what they liked growing up. I think it would make it more fun, especially for the kids to look back on.
Hope you understand my vision!!!
Love Always,
Amanda xx
Thanks for the ideas, they are great. I think that I will get some stuff together and then match it to the photos once they are stuck in the album!!
It could be a long job, I haven't finished sorting the photos yet (there are sooooooooooo many).
Have a nice night,
love and hugs, Tabitha XX
it is so funny to watch other people play cooking mama... trying to crack the eggs, virtual stirring, et. al... my brother cracks me up playing ours:D

We just bought a Wii a few weeks ago. And I bought the Mama's Cooking game too. It has definitely not helped me in the cooking department.
Hi Tabitha
I like Amanda'a idea of themes for your albums. I work backwards, in a sense, when trying to scrapbook. I have a browse through the scrapbook shops, see what they've got and get my inspiration this way. I find If I have my heart set on something it usually proves way too difficult to get. So I now go with an open mind to the shops and usually am able to pick up something that will perfectly fit into any pages I want to make up.
What about including any bits and pieces the kids have made. Cards, parts of projects, paintings from certain ages etc, etc.
Good luck with your albums and I can't wait to see what you come up with.
Love
Elise
Hi Dani,
I have laughed alot at the kids playing, Lauren was swinging her arms about and hit Daniel (I think it was an accident!!!)...
I am still sorting photos, and I didn't get to the craft shop, I hope to get there tomorrow.
Hope your day is going well,
Hugs, Tabitha XX
Hi Christy,
I am glad that I am not the only one who hasn't had any improvement with their cooking.
Hope you are having a good day!!

Hi Elise.
Thank you for the ideas, I think that I will do what you said and go to the craft shop and have a wander round and see what takes my fancy. I think that the themes idea is great too, Lauren with her ballet etc.
Hope you are well,
love and hugs,
Tabitha XX
