Because the children had been playing tennis and using up all their much needed energy, I decided to make them a roast dinner (My favourite ~ roast potatoes, yorkshire pudding, stuffing, roast chicken, carrots, broccoli and sugar snap peas!!!)........anyone who knows me well, or indeed anyone who has been following my blog for a while ~ will know that I am probably the worlds most disasterous cook ~ me and cooking, baking or anything else that involves the oven ~ just do not go together!!!!
So, as you can imagine, I was very pleased with the half decent end result shown below.............
What I was not so pleased with was the lovely little burn that I am now sporting on my right arm!!! Believe me it hurt like mad!!
For some totally unknow reason, I lost track of the fact that the pyrex dish that had just been in the oven for 35 minutes would be hot (I am getting more ditzy by the day tee hee!!!), and somehow managed to lean on it ~ which hurt like mad and left this nice burn as the end result!!!
This latest disaster with the oven and hot items has reminded me of why I steer clear of cooking and baking ~ IT IS TOO DAMN DANGEROUS!!!!!!!!!!

i don't ever want to hear again that you cannot cook, LOL!!! tabitha, dinner looks scrumtious:b (what is yorkshire pudding??? gravy???)
your arm, on the other hand (no pun intended;), looks horrible:o i hate burns; i hate that you have one!!! be careful in the shower because it's going to hurt like nobody's business. do you have any aloe???
you need a mummy kiss for that one...
sending one from afar and a hug too,
dani
I CANNOT COOK Dani ~ this took many hours of blood, sweat and burns (ha ha!!).....Yorkshire pudding is a light fluffy baked pudding made from a batter of flour milk and eggs, which is traditionally served with beef (but my children prefer roast chicken!!)....and is a absolutely delicious I love them (although I haven't had one for the last 8 weeks ~ damn diet!!).
I wish I had read your comment before I went in the shower ~ yes it did hurt ALOT!!! I will try and get some aloe tomorrow from the pharmasist. Thank you for your mummy kiss and hug ~ it made me feel alot better
love and hugs to you XXXXXXXXX
The food looks awesome!
The only thing I can make without hurting myself in the making, would be cereal haha.
Hope your burn is feeling better, I know how it all feels, for I have had my fair share of those in the pasts tehe.

That dinner looks lovely!!! I'm always looking for new, fun things to cook up for my family... I just wish I could make a roast like that! Yum!
Sorry to hear about your arm - I'm bad about scorching myself as well. I'm too stinkin accident prone & clumsy! Try some aloe if you have any. (I buy it in bulk, so I could always mail you some! :-D Haha!)
Hope all is well with you & your little tennis champs! Take care and God Bless
All my love,
Amanda
I saw Jamie Oliver make Yorkshire pudding once and they looked absolutely delicious. From the looks of your photo you didn't do bad at all! Except of course, he didn't get any burns during the process... ah, cooks, they've got asbestos hands as Nigella would say. Hope it stops hurting soon.
Love,
Tania
Hope the burn is healing!
Thats nasty, and i hope it doesn't leave too much of a scar:(
