Freaky Friday!!

Have you ever seen the film Freaky Friday? When I was younger I loved that film. I used to wish that one morning I would wake up and have swapped bodies with my Mum ~ be all grown up and do what I liked ~ wear make up, drive the car, eat what I liked, go where I wanted and not have anyone tell me what to do!!!
Funny how times change!! Sitting here this morning, I look at my daughter and wish that the roles were reversed. Wish that I was 6 again, where the whole world is so simple and you have no worries (apart from ~ in Laurens case ~ what she will have for breakfast!!), wish that there were not 3 millions things that I HAVE to do and not enough hours to do them all ~ wish that I could be carefree and innocent and just 6 years old again ~ play with dolls and eat what I like without even worrying about it ~ that would be so nice for just one day!!!

BUT ~ I suppose that even being a 6 year old has got its down sides!! ~ I just asked lauren to get dressed and she has thrown a bit of a stroppy!!! She seems to think that 'NO SCHOOL TODAY' and 'STAY IN YOUR PYJAMAS ALL DAY' ~ go hand in hand!!!!!
I have just informed her that she does have to get dressed today and she shouted back
"I hate being 6, everyone bosses me about, I wish I was old like you Mummy and then I could wear lip gloss" ~
(OLD!!! SHE CALLED ME OLD!!! ~ I AM ONLY 38 FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!!)

I suppose I asked for that one ~ seems that my daughter would like to swap places for just one day too ~ if only she knew that the grass is infact NOT greener on the other side!!! and being a grown up (which I apparently am ha ha !!!), is about SOOOOO much more than just wearing lip gloss!!!

HOPE YOU HAVE A FAB AND NOT TOO FREAKY FRIDAY XXXXXX

I wouldn't mind being 'young' again either with no worries. But i wouldn't like to go through school again!! Once was enough!
Hope your Friday is not too Freaky!

I agree ~ school is one thing I wouldn't do again!! I really liked school, but I look at the children nowadays and think ~ no I wouldn't go back there ha ha !!!
I think that the 'NO WORRIES' bit is what I loved about being young!!
Have a great day,
love and hugs ~ Tabitha XXXX

When I was young I couldn't wait to get older. The days didn't seem to pass by so quickly then. But now, I wonder where the years have gone and sometimes I would love to be able to stop time.

Love,
Tania

What a GREAT post! I think we've all wished, at some point, to be young again and the carefree, stres-free life that goes along with it. But of course, wearing lip gloss DOES have it's advantages. ;-)

Kids think that anyone over the age of 25 is old, so don't worry about it. lol. She'll soon find out that the older she gets, things only get even more complicated than people telling her to get out of her pajamas. Haha.

Hi Tabitha

Some days it is easy to look at our children and wish we were their age as they have such a care free life. That's what I would love for a day, that feeling of not having anything at all to worry about.

Sounds like your Thursday was such a full on and hectic day. I think you are a superwoman with everything you manage to achieve and accomplish.

I really hope that over the weekend you get some time to yourself to just sit and relax.

Lots of love and hugs
Elise
