It's Raining ~ AGAIN!!

The children are back safely ~ after the night with their dad.

They seem to have had a nice time ~ they are tired ~ but they are home and that is what matters. We had a slight problem this morning ~ as their Dad wanted to take them to see the new James Bond film ~ Quantam of Solace, but I do not think that it is suitable for Lauren and refused to let him take her!!! She was upset ~ as she didn't want to miss out ~ so Daniel went with his Dad to see James Bond and I took Lauren to see High School Musical 3 ~ she has already seen it, but was desperate to see it again!! So, that seemed to solve that problem.....I must admit I actually quite enjoyed it and zac Efron is quite cute (although I am more than likely old enough to be his mother ha ha !!) ~ Lauren has decided that she would like the DVD when it comes out ~ when ever that is ~ so has added it to her never ending christmas list!!

We are not going to the bonfire and fireworks tonight as we have had rain all day, it has poured down and so the event has been cancelled ~ instead I am going to pop some pop corn for the kids and we will all snuggle under the quilt and watch the X factor ~ sounds more fun than standing in a muddy field in the freezing cold (I am such a kill joy ha ha !!).

I thankfully managed to get Christmas presents all sorted last night (where the children are concerned!!) ~ so I am really pleased with that. I spent weeks doing it last year ~ so to go and get almost all of it sorted in one night was great. It also means that I don't have to fight my way around the shops in the weeks leading up to christmas ~ there are a few, small last little bits and pieces ~ but nothing that I can't pick up easily ~ I always get them a selection box and little silly bits for their stockings. I feel alot happier now and maybe I won't keep having the dream that it is Christmas morning and there are no gifts because I forgot to buy them!!??

Daniel has been busy rehearsing for his concert next week ~ he has been singing All through the night and the National anthem ~ which he now knows word perfect ~ between that and Lauren pretending that she is someone from HSM ~ it has been quite musical here!

Hope you all have a happy, warm and safe evening XXXX

Just stopping by to say hi. I understand what you mean about enjoying some alone time. It just seems to make the time with them all the more precious.

I agree with you that Lauren is a little young for James Bond, but I bet she loved the fact that she got to see HSM for a second time!!!

I haven't bought a single Christmas present yet, especially since on December 6 the kids get gifts for Sinterklaas (and they have started making their lists today), so we actually spend a little less on Christmas presents. But it's nice that -contrary to Sinterklaas- adults get presents too for Christmas!

Love and hugs,
Tania

Andrw went to see James Bond with his Dad, but the younger ones didn't get to see it either.

Hi Tania ~ I think that everyone would agree that Lauren was too young and that film would not be suitable ~ apart from her father ha ha !!!
I really enjoyed HSM3 and Lauren was in her element ~ she wants to see it a third time ha ha !
I remember when we lived in Germany we did something on Dec 6th where we put a shoe out and it was filled with sweets (I think!!) ~ I love the idea of adults getting presents from Sinterklaas ~ I think we should do that here too!
Love and hugs ~ Tabitha XXX

Hi Tanya ~ I am glad that we managed to sort the film problem out as Lauren was quite upset ~ she felt she was missing out. I have told him that he needs to plan activities that they can both do next time!
The weather is still bad here and we are just at home today sorting bits out.
I have had to get everything sorted early ~ as the children are always around ~ so I just had to do it while I had the chance!
Hope you are well, love and hugs Tabitha XXX

Hi Amanda ~ I just wasn't letting him take her to see it ~ and she was happy seeing HSM3 so that was ok. I am alot happier now that Christmas is sorted out ~ I have bits and pieces todo still but the main part is done now ~ thank goodness!!
