We all must be feeling the pinch ~ I know that I have been!! Financially things are getting tighter ~ and with Christmas just around the corner ~ I am trying to save a few pennies here and there!!
I always do crafts with the children that I look after ~ but even that can get expensive ~ when you have to go out and buy all the craft items etc! SO ~ I saw this in a childcare magazine yesterday and decided to give it a go! All you need is what is pictured below ......paper ~ felt pens and scissors ~ that's it!! First fold the paper like this ~ so you have a triangle and a rectangle shaped piece over at the end!
Next, turn the triangle of paper you have left around ~ so the longest edge is at the top ~ then fold like this..............so you have 2 flaps!!
Then ~ decorate like this (or they could be other animals!!)
The children that I look after love them ~ and they cost NOTHING!! (just the paper which I already had!!). Thought that I would share this with you ~ those of you with little kiddies may want to give it a try ~ they have been a great hit here!!!! I love working with children ~ I get to relive my childhood all over again (and I never have to grow up Tee Hee!!)
In other news ~ the weigh in went ok ~ another pound gone ~ so the total now is 63 pounds lost (4 and a half stone) in total!! Things are getting harder each week and progress is slow ~ but I am nearly at the 5 stone lost mark now ~ hopefully I will reach that target by christmas ~ and I shouldn't be far off my goal weight of 9 stone (126 pounds) ~ which sometimes feels like I will never reach ha ha !! (not helped by visits to the fish and chip shop and Mcdonalds with the children this week ~ I have been such a bad mummy ~ thankfully I resisted both!!).
Daniel is brimming with excitement about tomorrow and his visit to London with the school to sing for Prince Charles 60th Birthday!! The school have provided shirts and ties for them to wear with their school sweatshirts (they usually wear white shirts, but not the ties!! ~ I think that the school wants to make sure that all the children look neat and the same!!).
Unfortunately the children are not allowed to take cameras ~ so no photos ~ but the school have said that the concert may have snippets televised either tomorrow or over the weekend ~ in celebration of the Princes Birthday ~ so those of you in the UK ~ keep an eye out and you may see my eldest little star ~ singing for the Prince!!
Well better be off ~ LOADS to do!!
Love and Hugs Tabitha XXXX

Look at those little puppies!! They really look adorable! Maybe something for my kids to do during the Christmas holidays.
I see you're still adding pounds... to your "lost pounds"-list :D Truly amazing how you keep doing this Tabitha. So proud of you!!!
I hope Daniel is able to sleep with all the excitement about tomorrow. I'm sure he'll do great and you just know that this is something he will remember for the rest of his life.
Love and hugs,
Tania
What a CUTE Idea!!! I have William and Sami this weekend...I'll make some!! Thanks for the tip sweetie!!hughugs
I LOVE the little puppies!
I should make one for myself, as it's the closest i will get to the real thing for a while!
I hope Dan enjoys himself. Are any schools in Scotland taking part ~ i haven't heard?
Great weight loss Tabitha. Did i read right ~ you are going to lose 9 stone? I admire you. Your doing great!
love,
Amanda x
Hi Dani ~ I wasn't sure whether our Royal Family were even in the news over in the US!!
I hope that CNN show something ~ I should send Dan with a banner saying "HI DANI!!" ~ but his headmistress is going with them, so she may not like that ha ha !!
My target is within sight ~ I pray I am there by Christmas ~ as I do want to at least have Christmas day off and just kick back and eat christmas pudding and mince pies (tee hee) and then regret it on boxing day ha ha !!!!
Glad you like the puppies ~ there are loads more ideas that I am going to try ~ maybe I will have to have a weekly credit crunch busting post for kiddy crafts!!
You have a great evening too
love and big hugs Tab XXX
Hi Tania ~ I know ~ the puppies are sweet and cost nothing to make ~ that is why I love them so much!
Lauren loved doing them too ~ she made hers into a rabbit with a set of rabbit teeth drawn on!!
The pounds are still chipping away ~ slowly now though ~ but a pound a week is still Ok I suppose!
Daniel is very excited and he has to be up so early ~ he has to be at school for 7am and the coach leaves at 7.30am ~ so early start tomorrow!!
Take care my friend,
love and hugs Tab XXX
Hi Donna ~ so glad you are going to give the puppies a try!!
Let me see what they turn out like ~ if you do get round to doing them!!
Hope you are well,
love and hugs Tab XXX
Hi Amanda ~ we will have to send you a puppy all of your own!
I am not sure whether there are any schools from Scotland taking part ~ I know that there are 5 schools in total from the whole country ~ but not where they are exactly from!
You didn't read right ~ sadly (ha ha ), I have lost almost 5 stone and I aimed to lose 6 stone in total ~ so about another stone and I will be there!! I think I would have given up by now if I had another 4 stone to go ~ the willpower would definitly not last that long!! 9 stone is the target weight that I want to reach and I weigh just over 10 stone at the moment (10 stone 2 I think!!) ~ so nearly there ~ the end is in sight tee hee!!!!
love and big hugs Tabitha XXX
I love the puppies! Hahaha. I remember making something like that when I was younger!
I bet Daniel is SUPER excited! I know I would be :D
Wow, Tabitha! That's so great! I'm so happy for you!

Those little doggies are adorable. I think I remember making those with my boys way back when.
A project my 4 & 5 year old Sunday School kids used to enjoy was this.
I cut out all colors and sizes and shapes of left over construction paper and then let them use the shapes to glue onto another paper to make a design or picture. Sometimes I'd tell them what to make such as a house or tree or whatever and sometimes anything they wanted was the assignment.
Ha-Ha Tabitha, i did read wrong!!
I didn't think you had to lose 9 stone in Total, that would make you a negative size zero ~ not a good look!!
Anyhow, you are doing great!
love your silly friend,
Amanda xxxx
So today is the day for Daniel - how very exciting!! I can't wait to hear what he has to say about the experience!
That's a darling craft project, and yes you're right we are all feeling the pinch.
Way to go on the weight loss; you and Amanda both amaze me!! :)
