I am just back from my Tap class and all I can say is "OMG"!!!!
I am totally knackered ha ha !!
The rest of the class have been practicing a routine for about 4 weeks for the show that the dance school do in July.
We (my friend Tammie and I), were basically thrown in at the deep end and just had to follow the routine with the rest of them ~ to the music 'Have you met Miss Jones' (it was in the Bridget Jones Film). It was ok to a point and I could keep up with most of it ~ but there were a few moves that my brain and feet just could not agree on Bahahahahahaha!
However, all in all I had a great time ~ the rest of the ladies in the class were very nice and made us feel really welcome ~ SO I will be going again the week after next (as next Monday is May Day Bank holiday here in the UK).
On another subject ~ Lauren has a new tooth coming through........yes, I know ~ nothing very amazing there ~ only this is a tooth coming through in place of the milk tooth that Lauren knocked out when she was about 2 years old. The tooth that we were unsure when it would come through, if indeed it ever did! All the dentist was able to tell us was that there was a tooth there (we have the xrays to prove it) ~ but he could not say when or if it would make an appearance.
Lauren woke me last night to say that her mouth was hurting ~ so I had a look and to my suprise I could see some jaggy white edges sticking through her gum! She was most impressed with my cheering and jumping about and had to have a good look in the mirror.
I will endeavour to get some photographic evidence of said new tooth ~ when it has come through a bit more ~ you know my little Lauren ~ ever happy to stand and pose infront of the camera!
Well, that is all the excitement (or not) for today. I am just off to crawl into bed and hopefully I will be able to walk in the morning ~ surely it cannot be as bad as the 'riding a bike' experience!
I will let you know tomorrow.

Girl you are a powerhouse!!!!
Oh send me alittle of your enthusiasm and postive will and thinking...
Inspirational you are!
I can't help but wonder, is there something like a class on "The Fundementals Of Tap" you could take as well? I can't believe they wouldn't at least show you the basics. Good thing the women in the class are so nice.
And I congratulate Lauren's mouth on getting on with the growing of that sneaky little milk tooth. Maybe when it's all the way in (or out, however you care to look at it) you could throw a "Welcome to Lauren's new Milk Tooth" party. lol
I feel like jumping for joy too. Your story about Lauren's tooth comming through is very exciting and obviously very much anticipated. Congratulations Lauren. I did jazz ballet when my girls were young and I just loved it but when it came to tap dancing I'am afraid it was a bit too hectic for me. You are a britton to do that. It is a great form of extream exercise.
Love and hugs XXXXOOOO
Hi Tabitha
It's great to be back and catching up on all your happenings.
I am so happy that you had a great time at your tap dancing class. Sounds like so much fun. Are you going to be in the show in July?
Hooray for Lauren's new tooth. That tooth sure does have a mind of it's own.
Your sign that says: Good Morning, let the stress begin, is exactly the same as the one we have hanging in our kithcen all the way over here in Australia. We spotted it while we were on holidays up the coast and the minute I saw it, I knew it would be perfect.
Sending lots of love and hugs
Elise
Yay! Glad to hear Lauren's tooth is finally growing in...she must be thrilled. :-)
And good for you for the tap class! It sounds like fun!
That's so funny with Lauren's tooth ~ Ben was the same , he broke his front tooth when he was 3 and that's the adult tooth just beginning to come through!
Glad you enjoyed the Tap Dancing ~ wish i could come along with you.
Our Schools are off on Thurs, Fri and Monday ~ are your kids off school too?

i know you must be relieved beyond words that lauren's tooth is presenting itself:) there is no telling the expense of what you might have had to incur had it not dropped:?
however, i bet she was in pain given that gum had been closed for so long. i hope she's past that now that it is through her gum!!!
much love,

I love the word knackered!! I think I'm going to borrow it. Sounds like tap was fun. So glad you enjoyed it.
Wow that's great about Lauren's tooth. What a long time to wonder if the tooth would ever make its appearance. Happy to know it did.
Much love from NJ,
