As promised yesterday ~ I managed to bribe Lauren with a Kinder Egg and some Maltesers and she went through the stress (tee hee) ~ of putting on her various dance unifroms ~ so that I could share them with you all!!
Here is the uniform that she wears for her Hip Hop classes!!
She also wears this for Hip Hop ~ if it is a bit colder!!
This is the new Tap and Modern uniform ~ Lauren loves the new leotard and wants to wear it all the time!!
The Ballet uniform is the same as last term ~ minus the voile overskirt ~ she now wears the waist elastic for her Grade one classes!!
There you have it ~ a quick step by step photo guide of laurens various dance classes!! As you can see ~ it doesn't cost much at all (I am lying there!!). She is all kitted out now and I have old her that she is not allowed to grow~ especially her feet ~ as buying new tap, ballet, modern and dance sneakers for hip hop ~ is not on my list of 'TO DO' things just at the moment!!
We are off to the cinema this afternoon. Ever since I went and saw Mamma Mia ~ the kids have wanted to see it too ~ so we are off to the sing along version a bit later!! Should be fun!

tabitha, lauren's dance attire is super-cute:) i was wondering, when i read yesterday that lauren's ballet voile had changed to an elastic band, is that so her teacher can better see the kids' form; and what does the elastic band do (is it just for looks)???
to keep her from growing, you can do like the chinese and bind her feet at night, tee-hee:b

Hi Amanda ~ it can get a bit pricey ~ but ebay is fab for dance gear and her dance school always has nearly new items that have hardly been used ~ the leotard was brand new as the dance school have just changed to that ~ all her dance shoes are usually ebay though!! You are definitly lucky that you had boys ~ Dans judo is alot cheaper ha ha !!

Hi Dani ~ it is cute gear ~ lauren loves it all and HAS to have all the new stuff (although I do draw the line at certain items!!).
The ballet uniform (which is Royal Academy of dance) ~ has the voile skirt for pre and primary groups ~ Lauren did her Primary exams earlier this year, so has moved up to grade 1 ~ to distinguish the dancers that are a higher grade ~ they wear the waist elastic ~ it doesn't actually do anything ~ it is just part of the uniform!! That is definitly the biggest problem ~ Lauren is very slight, so rarely grows out of her uniforms that quickly ~ but her feet grow soooo fast ~ I have trouble keeping up with it!! Thank goodness for the ebay dance shops ~ they save me lots of money!!

I love the leotard for tap and modern, she looks very cute.
I saw on Caitlin's flyer that for the second trimester they have to wear the "uniform" as well (45 EUR for the clothes, socks(pantyhose?) and shoes. The lessons cost 55 EUR per trimester. It all adds up doesn't it?
