TWINKLE TWINKLE

If I could give you the stars, I'd gather them inside my heart,
I'd wrap them in love and brighten your day with starlight ..

Down on the farm!!

Yesterday the children and I met up with my friend Jane and her children ~ and we ventured over to visit another friend of ours ~ Sasha ~ who lives locally on a farm.

The children love to visit the farm ~ they always get totally covered in mud and muck and have great fun just roaming about, looking at the animals and just being children ~ no worries ~ and not a care in the world.

We had a really great time ~ the children did not want to leave ~ infact we had to chase them and round them up at the end of the day ~

Here are some pictures from the farm ~

Sasha has some little calves in her barn at the moment ~ they were so sweet and very cautious of me when I was taking this picture ~ when the flash went off they all ran backwards!

This is me taken in Sashas kitchen with her dog Farley ~ who is so soft and affectionate ~
The little puppet in the picture is called Louis ~ he belongs to the Nursery where Jane works and
as they are doing a topic on farms ~ he came with us and had pictures taken all around the farm.

Here is Sashas farm house ~ we love visiting here!!

A little chicken (or hen!! Not sure which really) ~ the kids spent ages following it about!

Some geese ~ they were not very friendly at all ~ and I kept away from them. The last time that
we visited the geese chased me and it was not fun ha ha !!!!!

More chickens and some little baby chicks!

When it was time to go home the children were covered in mud and muck and lots and lots of hay ~ as they had been playing on the hay bales and were throwing hay over each other.
It was straight in the bath for them (you should have seen the bath when they got out ~ I am sure that they took most of the hay home with them ha ha !!). While they were in the bath I had to clean the car (which was also full of hay ~ mud and some chicken poop ha ha !!) ~ I am glad to report that it is now sweet smelling and clean!!
It was a great day ~ the kids had so much fun and Jane and I managed to catch up with Sasha and have a good natter! Hopefully it will not be too long until we are back on the farm again! XX

Such a lovely place to visit, Tabitha!! I'm glad the children had so much fun. What's a little chicken poop compared to that? hahahaha

Beautiful farm house!! :)

Children and muck go well together ~ if the kids are not dirty then they are not having fun!!!
Looks like you all had a really nice day out.
Love the pictures!

Hahaha, it sounds like you all had a grand time. Little jaunts to the country are good for the soul.

That sounds like a lot of fun. I feel the same way about geese as you. Why on earth do they have to be so full of themselves? I would expect that from swans, but geese? Get over yourselves you snooty geese.

Hi Tabitha

I just read Dani's comment and laughed. When I saw those calves I did think of our dear friend Dani.

Time spent at the farm will be time that Dan and Lauren will never forget and always cherish.

Hooray for Lauren's tooth deciding to make it's debut! I can imagine how relieved you must have been to welcome this new addition.

Lots of love and hugs
Elise
