The Post Man here has been very busy recently ~ and the other morning he brought 2 more packages ~ one from Bonnie Scotland and one all the way from Down Under!!
In true Tabitha form ~ my camera was totally dead and in need of charging ~ so I couldn't take any photos ~ BUT ~ it is up and running now ~ so here are some pictures of my gorgeous snail mail gifts!
First is my gift from Tania ~ all the way from Australia ~ a gorgeous Christmas tree decoration ~ which is so pretty and has 2008 on it ~ it is a constant reminder of the year that Tania and I 'met' via our blogs and every year when I put it on my tree I will remember this year very fondly. The box that this came in had a sweet verse on it ~ the words are very true in alot of ways ~
" 2008 was a year filled with hopes and dreams, smiles and laughter and, quite possibly a few tears.
Like every year before it, it will live on through the memory of each of its opportunities, challenges and celebrations, large and small.
I also received a christmas box from Amanda in Scotland ~ filled with goodies ~ not just for me, but for my little stars too ~ they were very pleased and loved their gifts!! They send a huge big 'THANK YOU' to Amanda!!
I wasn't going to open my snail mail presents until Christmas day ~ but after visiting the other blogs ~ my curiosity got the better of me ~ so I opened my gift from Elise ~ and it is wonderful ~an Australian tree decoration ~ the kangaroo is so cute ~ carrying his presents!! ~ Thank you soooo much dear Elise!

Hi Tabitha
Snail mail certainly is a wonderful thing. It's so exciting receiving packages from such dear friends in other parts of the world.
It's been such fun seeing the little gifts I sent hanging up on our friends' Christmas trees. Tania is a genius for proposing the whole snail mail idea. I love the idea and I love all of my snail mail friends.
I have never heard that cheese before going to bed can give you nightmares. Good thing I am sitting here having some hot chocolate before going to bed, surely only can sweet dreams can follow a drink of hot chocolate. But, you are so right, mums always know best and they are rarely ever wrong.
That is such a shame about Lapland. What a complete scam. I remember the magical description in your blog about this experience. I hope that you get all of your money back. Iknow that you were really looking forward to this, so I am sad that you, Dan and Lauren are disappointed and have been te victims of this misrepresentation.
Lots of love and hugs
Elise
The ornaments are lovely, aren't the they?! They make our Christmas trees so much more special.
Sorry to hear about your Lapland dream. I knew you were looking forward to this. What a scam!
Love,
Tania
PS: I (finally!) got round to posting my Christmas wishes. Since you're the closest there's a small chance they might reach you before Christmas.
