I need some more time off......I have sooooo much that I need to do ~ so many things that I have planned and not enough hours in each day!!
I am exhausted already ~ it is only monday ha ha !!
I think that the world is totally the wrong way round ~ we should only have to work two days and then have five days off (tee hee) ~ OK ~ so the world would probably come to a grinding halt and the economy would be worse (if that is possible!!) ~ than it already is ~ BUT .......I can dream!!
SO ~ how was your Monday?
Mine started at 6am this morning with the sound of the rain and wind lashing outside ~ yes you guessed it is raining again (well it is Britain after all). I had a shower, washed and did my hair ~ got the children dressed, fed etc (all the usual things) ~ then we had to venture out ~ into the weather. We were soaked just going from the house to the car ~ literally soaked through ~ we looked a sorry state! Lauren has decided that she wants to wear her wellies to school tomorrow and change into her shoes ~ as she got soaked and her trousers were wet almost to her knees ~ poor love!
I have been quite busy today ~ when I had finished work I went online to complete two 90 minute courses connected to childcare ~ and even got a certificate for each course at the end. It is great that there are these courses available on line ~ as being a single parent ~ it is hard when I have to do courses at the weekend or in the evenings (babysitters cost the earth ha ha !!).
My next courses that I have booked on line are health and safety and food handling and hygiene ~ then I need to update my paediatric first aid ~ which runs out in January. This course runs over two weekends and for obvious reasons cannot be completed on line!! When that is completed ~ I should be all up to date for at least another year ~ hurray!!!!!!
I was very naughty today and treated myself to a few of the candles that Amanda mentioned on her blog a while ago. They are called Woodwick candles and they have natural wicks made from organic wood to create the soothing sound of a crackling fire!!
My local candle shop ~ where I usually go to buy my yankee candles has been trying to get permission to stock them for ages ~ and when I walked past today I saw them advertised in the window ~ so I raced in and bought 2 straight away (very naughty!). With the festive season approaching ~ I decided to opt for 2 that sounded and smelt christmassy!! They are called Mulled Berries and Noel and smell wonderful! You can go HERE to find out what they look like etc (this is not where I got mine from ~ but is a site I have used to buy candles from before and is quite good!!) I am sitting here at the moment ~ listening to them crackle away ~ as the rain is beating on the window outside!!
Well ~ time for an early night I think ~ ready for another day of madness (and apparently more rain) tomorrow!!

On days like these...
It is cold and wet outside ~ Daniel has been to his Judo lessons and I have decided that we are just going to stay inside today and get a few things sorted out. I bought some new furniture not long back ~ which has been sitting in the garage ever since ~ so today is a good day to get that sorted out.
Dan is busy doing his homework and reading his books.
Lauren has decided that since we are not going anywhere ~ she is going to make full use of her new play make up set and have a make over!!

It's Raining ~ AGAIN!!
The children are back safely ~ after the night with their dad.
They seem to have had a nice time ~ they are tired ~ but they are home and that is what matters. We had a slight problem this morning ~ as their Dad wanted to take them to see the new James Bond film ~ Quantam of Solace, but I do not think that it is suitable for Lauren and refused to let him take her!!! She was upset ~ as she didn't want to miss out ~ so Daniel went with his Dad to see James Bond and I took Lauren to see High School Musical 3 ~ she has already seen it, but was desperate to see it again!! So, that seemed to solve that problem.....I must admit I actually quite enjoyed it and zac Efron is quite cute (although I am more than likely old enough to be his mother ha ha !!) ~ Lauren has decided that she would like the DVD when it comes out ~ when ever that is ~ so has added it to her never ending christmas list!!
We are not going to the bonfire and fireworks tonight as we have had rain all day, it has poured down and so the event has been cancelled ~ instead I am going to pop some pop corn for the kids and we will all snuggle under the quilt and watch the X factor ~ sounds more fun than standing in a muddy field in the freezing cold (I am such a kill joy ha ha !!).
I thankfully managed to get Christmas presents all sorted last night (where the children are concerned!!) ~ so I am really pleased with that. I spent weeks doing it last year ~ so to go and get almost all of it sorted in one night was great. It also means that I don't have to fight my way around the shops in the weeks leading up to christmas ~ there are a few, small last little bits and pieces ~ but nothing that I can't pick up easily ~ I always get them a selection box and little silly bits for their stockings. I feel alot happier now and maybe I won't keep having the dream that it is Christmas morning and there are no gifts because I forgot to buy them!!??
Daniel has been busy rehearsing for his concert next week ~ he has been singing All through the night and the National anthem ~ which he now knows word perfect ~ between that and Lauren pretending that she is someone from HSM ~ it has been quite musical here!
Hope you all have a happy, warm and safe evening XXXX

AND RELAX..........................
Finally it is Friday ~ this week seems to have been full ~ of madness!
I have sat down (with a cup of tea!), for what must be the first time today.
The children have gone with their Dad for the night ~ he was late as usual ~ seems to be becoming a bit of a habit of his!! Anyway ~ the house is quiet ~ I have no one to look after but myself (ha ha ~ that doesn't happen very often!!).
I have just been wrapping up christmas presents and have taken them over to my friends spare room to store them! I thought that it would be a good idea to get some of the childrens presents wrapped while they are not here! Last year they kept getting up in the night and almost caught me on a few occasions ~ not good!
I went out shopping earlier ~ ALONE ~ no little people ~ it was bliss ~ and I got loads done! I love my two little stars more than life itself, but it is nice to have time to myself and to just 'be me' and not MUMMMMMMMMMM (as Lauren has taken to shouting tee hee !!).
Just off now to put my feet up and watch some Friday night TV ~ not that there is anything exciting on.
Have a great evening, Love and Hugs Tabitha XXXXX

Yet another Wednesday Post!!
It is the middle of the week again ~ I am sure that someone has a finger on the fast forward button of my life ~ time is flying by me at great speed these days!!
Wednesday always means weigh in night and this week I lost another pound ~ so that brings the total lost to 4 stone 6 pounds (62 pounds). It is still moving along in the right direction, but has slowed down alot ~ I will keep going ~ and at this rate I doubt that I will be at target by christmas ~ never mind, I will keep chipping away at it!!
On another note ~ Daniel is going to London on Friday 14thNovember to the Covent Garden Opera House ~ Daniel (and Laurens) school is one of only 6 in the country to be chosen to sing and perform a concert in front of His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales ~ in honour of his 60th Birthday. The children are singing 'All Through the Night' accompanied by the Royal Philharmonia Orchestra, which Daniel is very excited about. After the concert, Prince Charles will meet some of the children taking part!! I am very excited for Daniel and this is a great opportunity for him and the other children too.
There is a bonfire and fireworks display on Saturday night, which we are hoping to attend. It was meant to be on last weekend, but due to the awful rain (it rained ALL day basically!) ~ it was cancelled. Lauren loves bonfire night ~ I think she likes the fact that you get a drink and a hot dog best (tee hee) ~ but her face is pure delight usually!! I will have to try and remember the camera so I can post some pictures on here!!
There is a website, which a friend told me about ~ the link is here http://www.noradsanta.org/ ~ which apparently tracks Santas progress around the world at Christmas time. I don't think that it gets going until December ~ but I thought that I would share it with you ~ it may be a bit of fun for those of you with children. XXX
