My bookmark is safe now!!!

You may remember that I posted this last week that I had received some gorgeous etsy items through the post. One of the items was an absolutely beautiful book mark, which I ordered from Tanias etsy shop, over at little sweethearts. The book mark has had pride of place in the latest book that I am reading (Second Chance by Jane Green ~ so far I am totally loving it!!)......that is until my dear sweet little daughter spotted it and decided that she actually would quite like it for herself........I have since found it and my book under her pillow, after much searching (Lauren is like a little magpie ~ quite often a lipgloss or necklace of mine will somehow disapear ~ and usually reappears under laurens pillow on her bed!!!)

Today a little package arrived ~ inside was another sweet little bookmark (made by Tania) ~ together with the most perfect little heart with a butterfly in the middle!! ~ and sent for little Miss Lauren ~ by my wonderful friend Dani . Lauren couldn't quite get her head around the fact that it was really for her (she has wanted mine soooooooo much!!) ~ and she then spent 10 minutes dancing around the place and saying 'Thank you Dani ~ Thank you Dani' .


Little Miss Laurens very own butterfly bookmark ~ she was most impressed with the 'L' for Lauren!!!!

The sweet little heart is now on her little teddy bears arm!!!!

Lauren wasted no time in putting her new gift to good use ~ in her latest must read book ~ Animal Stories for 6 year olds!!!

Lauren has had a big smile on her face (since she doesn't have to hide mummys bookmark anymore ha ha !!!) (Please excuse the glittery eye make up ~ we had just been to the school fair ~ where Lauren had a little girls make over ~ glittery make up and nails painted!! )
Thank you Dani ~ I know that I have told you this many times before ~ but I will tell you again ~ you are wonderful!!!! You have made one little girl so very very happy and she has had the biggest smile on her face all day!! She does have a little suprise up her sleeve for you ~ but I have been told not to say a word (shhhhhh!!!!) ~ as it is a secret!!

Who needs sunshine ~ with smiles like these?

Today was non school uniform day at the childrens school ~ they had to take a bottle of something into school (which will be sold at the school fair tomorrow!!), and in return they were allowed to wear their own clothes for the day!!
Here are the pair of them ~ all dressed in their chosen outfits (Dan in his Portsmouth football shirt of course!!). Lauren chose her red HSM trousers and a red and white stripped top and a red and white headband (we do like to co~ordinate ha ha !!).....


We will be visiting the fair tomorrow ~ hopefully the rain will hold off between 12 and 3 pm, so that we can all enjoy it!! In the meantime ~ I will leave you with a little saying that my friend e mailed to me today ~

WHEN LIFE HANDS YOU LEMONS ~ JUST REACH FOR THE TEQUILA AND SALT!!!

That did make me chuckle and reminds me of one holiday I went on many years ago ~ which involved rather alot of lemons and tequila..........but that is a story for another day!!!!!

BRENDAS PHOTO CHALLENGE

Donna over at made in heaven invited me to take part in Brendas photo challenge ~ the theme this time was 'Patriotism ~ or what I love about my country'. Due to the fact that we have had nothing but rain all week (literally ~ it has hardly stopped!!), I haven't been able to get out and take the photos that I wanted to!!

Our village church ~ very old and steeped in history ......

The little red phone box in our village ~ most of these have been replaced with the new glass ones ~ but we still have the old fashioned one in the village ~ I love it!!

The village shop and post office ~ such a pretty building!!

Lovely green countryside ~ it is like this every where you look ~ around where I live!!

I really enjoyed this challenge and taking the photos ~ I am looking forward to the next photo challenge!! XX

At least the rain is good for something......

I know that I have moaned constantly about the endless rain we have been having (yes, it was still raining today ~ the sun made a brief appearance ~ before hiding again behind a BIG black cloud!!) BUT ~ it has obviously been good for some things ~ as when I checked today ~ the carrots are starting to grow (well ~ there are green things growing and hopefully they are the carrots and not some stray weeds hee hee!!!)........


Look very carefully and closely and you will see some green bits in the pot ~ that is HOPEFULLY the carrots starting to grow!!!!! (Thank goodness for that ~ the children would be so upset if nothing happened!!)



I am actually quite grateful (in a strange kind of way!!) ~ that it has rained so much ~ because I had completely forgotten to water the carrot seeds and they would probably never have grown ~ without the endless non stop rain!!!!

Daniel and Lauren have a non ~ uniform day at school tomorrow ~ they have to take a bottle (of some description ~ whether it is wine, bubble bath or tomato sauce ~ and then they are allowed to wear their own clothes!!) ~ they also have to take a plate of cakes ~ for the school fair ~ which is on Saturday ~ as I am such a disorganised mother and completely forgot to make cakes ~ I am going to cheat and send in some that I bought (I know I know ~ but I never said I was the mother of the year!!!!!). The fair on Saturday is to raise funds for a new adventure play area in the infant playground (which is Laurens part of the school), and there is £2000 needed to complete the project ~ so it would be really nice if that was raised at the weekend!!
We will be going to the fair on Saturday (to give our support!!) ~ after the usual round of dance classes and show rehearsals!! I will make sure that I take plenty of photos ~ and please pray for a sunny day for us ~ just the one will do!!!

Beauty Full.....

I posted a few days ago that I had visited Tanias etsy shop and placed an order for a butterfly bookmark......well ~ look what came in the post today ~ it is totally gorgeous and is packaged beautifully. Tania has also put in a lovely hanging heart with butterflies on ~ as a gift for me being her first customer!! How totally lovely it all is ~ I love the little winnie the pooh note aswell ~ thank you so much Tania! If you haven't already visited Tanias shop ~ then click HERE to link to Tanias blog and then click on her etsy shop on the sidebar......it is worth a visit and I can assure you that the bookmark is beautifully made and I have a feeling that I will be ordering a few more ~ for up coming birthdays!!

At about the same time as I ordered from Tania ~ I also ordered from another etsy shop ~ Belle and Boo ~ and here are the gorgeous items, which I received yesterday. Again, every item is just perfect and I hardly even wanted to open the parcel ~ as it was so beautifully done ~

Belle and Boo have just recently set up their own web site at belleandboo.com which is full of totally wonderful items and is well worth a visit!!

One of the little buttons that I ordered is called 'journey' and has a little boy and girl on a rocking horse ~ I cannot believe how much like Dan and Lauren the little children are ~ I have tried to take a picture of the button close up ~ but my camera doesn't seem to like it at all ha ha!!!

I have been cheered up by these two 'beauty full' packages and even though there is yet more rain outside ~ my heart has been filled with a whole lot of etsy sunshine!! XXX
