All is peaceful and serene!!!

The post man called at my place today ~ again with all the usual mail (bills!!), that he normally brings ~ but yet again there was a little envelope full of sunshine waiting on the doormat!!
Tania over at little sweethearts sent me a beautful 'snail mail' card ~ with two swans on the front (I love swans!!)

Inside the card was a little package ~ inside the little package was the sweetest little magnet ~ with two blue stars and 'Twinkle Twinkle' on the front!! Tania is a very talented lady and the magnet is handmade and really lovely!! It now has pride of place on my fridge!!
Anyone who loves handmade items (as much as I do!!), should pop on over to Tanias blog and visit her Etsy Shoppe ~ it has some sweet little items ~ I have ordered myself a butterfly bookmark today and will be visiting again soon ~ as there are several in different colours (and I want all of them ~ ha ha ~ I am just greedy!!!)

Peace and serenity reigns in the household tonight!! We are a 'female only' house tonight, as Daniel has gone on a sleepover with his friend Jack (he is back tomorrow). Lauren therefore has no one to argue with (apart from me ~ and she never wins an arguement with me ~ well not so far!!) ~ so she has been doing lots of 'girlie' things and has now installed herself on the sofa ~ with a tube of pringles and is watching one of her all time favourite DVDs ~ 'Because of Winn~Dixie' ~ which she has watched about 5 million times ~ but wants to watch again!!

I had better wrap this post up now ~ as one pringle munching little girl keeps asking me when I am coming to watch Winn Dixie with her ~ so I had better join her (minus the pringles) ~ before she comes and un plugs the laptop for me (tee hee!!) XXX

I received a lovely little parcel in the post today from my good friend Dani over at give me a second to think about it. She is so very sweet and sent me a present for my birthday ~ a cute little jewellry box ~ with a star and the words to twinkle twinkle and a sweet pen topper ~ which I will have to keep close to me, or a certain little girl I know will steal it away ha ha!!!!
They are both absolutely lovely and I am very lucky to have such a great blog friend ~ who sends me gifts all the way from the US!!! Thank you so much Dani ~ that was so kind of you !!
I will be able to hide my earrings and necklaces away from Lauren now ha ha!!!!

OTHER BITS AND PIECES.................................

I had an email today from the new company that I ordered Laurens bed from. It is being delivered on Tuesday 8th between 7am and midday!! Needless to say ~ I have one very excited little girl. I just have to sweet talk my friends husband into coming round and helping me build it ~ second to cooking, DIY or more specifically ~ making/building things ~ is my second most useless trait!!!

I went to Laurens school sports day today and it was really great ~ she did so well and although her team didn't win, she was a real little star and tried very hard in all she did!!
She got a certificate to say she had done very well and tried hard in each activity~ so she was pleased with that!! Daniel's had to be postponed as the rain started and they have moved it to next week sometime ~ I just hope that the weather holds out, so they can have it then. The children also have their swimming galas next week ~ again depending on the weather!!

I have some lovely photos of Laurens sports day and also of the gifts that Dani sent to me ~ which I will upload a bit later ~ unfortunately the over use of the camera at sports day meant that it is totally out of charge ~ the battery is charging at the moment ~ and as soon as I can ~ I will upload the photos and post them for you to see!!

All in all ~ today has been a day full of good and happy things ~ those are the kind of days I love ~ I wish everyday were like this!!!

WARNING ~ Tabitha Cooking Zone!!!

Because the children had been playing tennis and using up all their much needed energy, I decided to make them a roast dinner (My favourite ~ roast potatoes, yorkshire pudding, stuffing, roast chicken, carrots, broccoli and sugar snap peas!!!)........anyone who knows me well, or indeed anyone who has been following my blog for a while ~ will know that I am probably the worlds most disasterous cook ~ me and cooking, baking or anything else that involves the oven ~ just do not go together!!!!

So, as you can imagine, I was very pleased with the half decent end result shown below.............




What I was not so pleased with was the lovely little burn that I am now sporting on my right arm!!! Believe me it hurt like mad!!

For some totally unknow reason, I lost track of the fact that the pyrex dish that had just been in the oven for 35 minutes would be hot (I am getting more ditzy by the day tee hee!!!), and somehow managed to lean on it ~ which hurt like mad and left this nice burn as the end result!!!

This latest disaster with the oven and hot items has reminded me of why I steer clear of cooking and baking ~ IT IS TOO DAMN DANGEROUS!!!!!!!!!!

As part of their healthy eating plan at school ~ Daniel and Lauren were given a packet of carrot seeds each. When they came home from school today (and after they were fed up of playing tennis!), they asked if they could plant them................One pot of soil later and my little stars had successfully planted and then watered the seeds. All we can do now is sit back and wait and see if anything happens!! (Please pray that something does grow......or this mummy will be going to the market in a few weeks for some organic carrots to plant in that there pot ~ tee hee!!!!) XX
