Always listen to your mother!!!

When you were younger ~ did your Mother ever tell you not to eat cheese before you go to bed ~ because you would have nightmares? Mine did!! AND furthermore ~ she is a very wise woman ~ because it is true!!

Last night ~ just before bed ~ I was a little peckish (OK ~ I was actually flipping starving ha ha !!) ~ so in a bid not to eat the whole of the fridge......I decided in my wisdom that I would have a very small piece of cheese (my favourite english mild cheddar ~ yum!!) ~ it was a very small piece ~ so small that I did not think that it could possibly cause a nightmare...........but it did!!

I woke up at 3am this morning in a cold sweat ~ after dreaming that I was being chased by a giant dog ~ who had a remarkable resemblance to a Lassie dog (whatever they are called) ~ but was so not a kind and caring dog ~ it had big sharp teeth and was definitly trying to eat me!!!

I had to get out of bed and switch on the light ~ just to check that there wasn't actually a fierce looking Lassie in the room waiting to eat me (TEE HEE ~what can I say ~ it was 3am ~ everything is a bit crazy when you wake up at 3am!!!). Once I was satisfied that there was indeed nothing in the room (no suprise there really!!) ~ I went back to sleep (with the light on ha ha !!!).



So, the moral of this story is..................ALWAYS listen to your Mother ~ because at some stage in your life ~ she will undoubtedly be right (in my case ~ my Mum is right ALL the time ha ha !!), DO NOT ever ever ever eat cheese before you go to bed ~ because it does give you nightmares and lastly ~ if you should see a fierce looking Lassie dog......run away fast ~ because it will probably try and eat you too!!!!!!! XXXXX

NO CHILDREN..........

Due to a re~arrangement in my work schedule this week ~ I have NO CHILDREN today and Thursday ~ I am only working until 4 pm on Wednesday and on Friday I finish at midday ~ YIPPEEEEEEE!!!!!

This is unheard of ~ ME WITH NO CHILDREN IN TOW!!!!!!

I have made a list of about a million and One things that I need to do today ~ the first of which is to take my car and get it cleaned inside and out ~ I know that I have only had it a few months ~ but the inside has taken a bit of a battering ~ with lots of dirty little feet getting in and out every day, so I decided it needed a treat ha ha !! Luckily there is a really great place not that far from where I live ~ that will clean the inside for a very reasonable price!! (I know ~ I am VERY lazy and could do it myself ~ and save the money ~ BUT ~ I would probably make a really bad job of it ~ I can't be bothered to do it myself AND ~ while it is being done I am meeting a friend of mine for a rather large coffee!!!) ~

I also need to get a card and present for one of Laurens teachers who leaves this week ~ and a new filter and some plants for the fish tank (which is in a bad need of a de~gunk before I go away........maybe I could get someone to do that too .....Tee Hee ~ only joking!!).

I intend to spend the rest of the day having a sort out ~ tidying up and cleaning (very boring I know ~ but has to be done!!)

On Thursday I am meeting up with my friend Jane at the school and we are going off for the day ~ to do a bit of Christmas shopping (well I have finished ~ so I will just be 'christmas window shopping' ) ~ then we are going to be 'Ladies that Lunch' ~ we are going to this great place ~ where we are going to indulge in a spit roast chicken and a heap of salad ~ and have a couple of hours relaxing and enjoying a converstaion or two that doesn't involve High School Musical ~ The Teletubbies or how you get a baby out of your bottom and whether it hurts or not??? (That is one of Laurens latest gems ~ more on that another time!!!!!).

So ~ hope you have a good day too ~ I am off (skipping) to the school to deposit my darling children there ~ before I run away qucikly and indulge in a much needed day of freedom tee hee!! XXXXX

Our Lapland dreams are broken.....

You may remember that some months back I did a post about taking the children to a Christmas attraction called Lapland New Forest ~ WELL, we are no longer going ~ if you would like to know why ~ click HERE





The attraction that my friends visited a few years back was in Kent ~ and was unconnected to this place ~ it was also the real deal. The people who did the site we were visiting were obviously a bunch of con men out to make a quick buck from unsuspecting families at this time of year ~ shame on them ~ how they can take the magic and wonderment of Christmas for a child and do this is beyond me.





The children are understandably upset ~ but I have explained it to them and they are aware that the site has now shut ~ not that we would have been visiting next Saturday ~ after the news and reports that I have seen on the internet.





I am currently trying to get my money back ~ not that I hold out much hope and my Mum has booked a pantomime for the children on Christmas Eve ~ so that will be something for them to look forward to. XXX

Dear Santa..........

Since I have been a VERY good girl this year.........(OK ~ So I admit that there has been the odd hiccup here and there!!!) ~ But ~ I have still been good MOST of the time.......

Well, if you could maybe leave one of these under the tree for me ~ I would be really grateful ~ just the one ~ that would be very nice!!

Tabitha Bear ~ A Story in Pictures!!

Lauren received a 'Make your own bear' set from my Mum for her birhday ~ and she decided that as it was cold, wet and dreary outside that she would make the bear!!

Here are the bear essentials (ha ha ) ~ all ready to go......

Lauren has an adoption certificate for her bear ~ and she decided to call it.......Tabitha (ahhh!!)
Lauren did a great job stuffing her bear ~ here she is!!

No bear would be complete without a cute pink outfit ~ complete with bows and sweet pink ballet shoes!!! Our new family member ~ Tabitha Bear ~ has been adopted!! Isn't she cute!

(So far she is very well behaved and quiet ~ she can definitly stay tee hee!!)
