I hope that you have all had a wonderful day ~ we have had a great time!
The children woke up at about 6am and the fun started!!!!
It has been a fantastic day ~ spent with the people that I love most in the world.
I am going to have to walk at least 20 miles tomorrow ~ to walk off the huge Christmas dinner that I have eaten (Turkey, stuffing, roast parsnips, bread sauce and pigs in blankets ~ yum yum!! ~ as well as all the other trimmings!!)
Lauren got a keyboard ~ which is her most favourite present EVER and has played it all day (I use the word PLAYED very grudgingly ha ha !!).
Daniel was most impressed with the Chess set that he received and has spent all day with Grandad learning to play chess!!
We are well and truly settled infront of the TV now ~ watching all the TV specials ~ too full to move tee hee!!XXX
PS ~ Have taken loads of piccies ~ but haven't had time to upload them ~ will do them soon xxx
PPS ~ I haven't gone all 'Bah Humbug' with the lack of Christmas on my blog now ~ I went in to take off my Christmas counter and somehow wiped off the Blog background at the same time ~ so decided to have a change tee hee ~ I am so useless with this blog lark ~ hopefully I will get the hang of it oneday HA HA!!!! xxx

T'was the night before christmas.....
Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,In hopes that St Nicholas soon would be there.
The children were nestled all snug in their beds,While visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads.
And mamma in her ‘kerchief, and I in my cap,Had just settled our brains for a long winter’s nap.
When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.
The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow Gave the lustre of mid-day to objects below.
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear, But a miniature sleigh, and eight tiny reindeer.
With a little old driver, so lively and quick,I knew in a moment it must be St Nick.
More rapid than eagles his coursers they came, And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name!
"Now Dasher! now, Dancer! now, Prancer and Vixen! On, Comet! On, Cupid! on, Donner and Blitzen!
To the top of the porch! to the top of the wall! Now dash away! Dash away! Dash away all!"
As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly, When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky.
So up to the house-top the coursers they flew,With the sleigh full of Toys, and St Nicholas too.
And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof The prancing and pawing of each little hoof.
As I drew in my head, and was turning around, Down the chimney St Nicholas came with a bound.
He was dressed all in fur, from his head to his foot,And his clothes were all tarnished with ashes and soot.
A bundle of Toys he had flung on his back, And he looked like a peddler, just opening his pack.
His eyes-how they twinkled! his dimples how merry! His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry!
His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow, And the beard of his chin was as white as the snow.
The stump of a pipe he held tight in his teeth, And the smoke it encircled his head like a wreath.
He had a broad face and a little round belly, That shook when he laughed, like a bowlful of jelly! He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf, And I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself!A wink of his eye and a twist of his head,Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread.
He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,And filled all the stockings, then turned with a jerk.
And laying his finger aside of his nose, And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose!He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle, And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.
But I heard him exclaim, ‘ere he drove out of sight,
"Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good-night!"

Santa Claus Is coming to Town.......
The excitement here is mounting day by day!!!
I am not sure that we will make it through to Christmas day ~ without one ~ possibly BOTH of my children exploding LOL!!!
Since we have been here we have just been chilling out ~ we have done a bit of last minute shopping ~ wrapped yet more presents and taken some nice (FREEZING COLD!) walks along the beach!!
Today we have got the Santa Signs ready! I forgot to bring the chalk with me to write on them, so I bought some 'wet chalk' today ~ which is what they use in the Pubs and Restaurants to write on their black boards ~ it seems to have worked quite well!!
I have written the childrens names on the boards ~ as Lauren was a bit worried that Santa would not know where she was this year ~ or may not find Grandmas new house!!
Hopefully these will give him a small clue!! Signs at the ready!!!
Do you think he will find us OK Mum?????
As I said ~ we have just been chilling out ~ as these pictures show. Lauren may need to be surgically removed from both her PJ's and the Nintendo DS lol!!!!!
Daniel did hijack my Laptop for a short time ~I have now paid the ransom of 3 Jaffa Cakes and I now have it back safely ha ha !!
The children did get out of their PJ's eventually!! ALTHOUGH ~ I must confess that since Dani sent me my Christmas PJ's all the way from Kentucky ~ I have all but lived in them ha ha !!
The Post man was suitably impressed when I opened the door to him wearing them this morning ~ either that or he was smiling at my birds nest hair!! (It was early!!!).
We are off to see the pantomime tomorrow ~ which the children are excited about ~ it is Dick Whittington and they are all ready to shout and cheer!!
Hope your festive preparations are coming along ok!!
Love and hugs Tabitha XXXX

At Grandmas House....
We are here ~ safely! The drive here was quite stress free ~ there were no major incidents and
nothing to report really ~ apart from the fact that there are hundreds of mad drivers on our motorways ~ and most of them were on the M6 today ~ I saw them ha ha !!
The children have settled into Grandmas house ~ and Lauren is most pleased that Grandma has a big fire place ~ so that Santa can get down it with all the presents..... The stockings are hung ~ ready and waiting......
AND ~ Yippeeee ~ the children got to decorate a 'BIG' tree at last (ha ha )
Of course they had a little help from Grandma too !!
I am off for an early night now ~ XXX
