.........I am smiling (for a change ~ see proof below!!) ~ the childminding children all went on time ~ and it is very peaceful and quiet here at the moment ~ no arguing ~ no shouting or telling of tales..............
The reason for this peace is this..............Daniel is lying on my bed (please excuse the jacket and my hairdryer in the background ~ I am so messy ha ha !!)...........he is watching the James Bond Movie ~ The world is not enough ~ he is glued to the TV..........(nothing new there!!) ~ I think he must be using the PS2 to watch it on (instead of the DVD player ~ hence the controller!!?? ~ who knows!) My other little devil......oops I meant angel ~is sitting in the livingroom watching an old film called Shark boy and Lava girl (don't ask ~ it is not one of the classics but Lauren loves it ~ tee hee!!) ~ here she is wearing her 3D glasses ~ and eating some after eight mint thingies (which I am not allowed to have ~ boo hoo!) ~ and looking very cute!!??
SO ~ this means that I have some peace and quiet ~ to sit here and catch up with some blogging!
I should be ironing (there is a mountain to do!) ~ or cleaning the bath or something else like that ~ BUT NO ~ I am sitting here ~ enjoying the lack of arguments between my children and thanking who ever the wise person was that invented DVDs ~ for giving me at least a few hours of quiet ~ before hostilities resume again (siblings arguing ~ don't ya just love it??)
Hope you are having a peaceful Tuesday too ~
love and hugs, Tabitha XXXX

Back to school ~ and problem solved!!!
This morning came as a bit of a shock ~ the children were back at school ~ so after a week of no rushing and no school runs, we had to be up and ready and out of the house by 8.30am ~ which almost didn't happen!! I was a small, little tiny bit disorganised and totally forgot to make Dans packed lunch (Lauren was having school dinners!) ~ so about 5 minutes before we were due to leave ~ Dan asked where his lunch was.......followed by a mad panic ha ha !! We made it though ~ JUST!!!
Thanks to all of you who left a comment on my post yesterday about the small christmas dilema ~ I am glad that you all seemed to agree that minimal was ok ~ so that is the course that I will be taking. I have ordered the fibre optic tree and have decided on just decorating the fire place and a few other bits ~ and my Mum is happy to go the whole hog when we get there ~ so the kids should be ok with it ~ and by the time we get to my mums they will be soooo excited about the whole christmas thing ~ they may not even be bothered!!!!
The children are sat watching Horton Hears A Who at the moment ~ they love it and I must admit that I quite like it too!!!
Here they are ~ my 2 little stars ~ they have a nice comfy sofa ~ but chose to sit on their little chairs instead!!!!

A little Christmas Dilema!!!
I have another Small dilema ~ nothing serious (never is ha ha !!) ~ but I thought that I would put it out there in blog land and see what you think!!
You know that Christmas is creeping up on us at a great rate and I have started to go into hyperactive overdrive about it all (same every year tee hee!!) . The problem is ~ last year we stayed here for Christmas ~ so I decorated the whole place ~ inside, outside ~ it looked great ~ quite a christmas wonderland! The kids totally loved it and so did I .........BUT......I totally, utterly and completely HATE taking down all the decorations, taking down the tree ~ packing it all away ~ I just hate it soooooooooo much!! It is bad enough when we have been here all through the festive period ~ and then I have to tidy it all away ~ at least we have had the pleasure of it and enjoyed it all!
BUT ~ this year we are going away to my Mums for Christmas ~ so we basically won't be here until after new year! Meaning that everything that I put up will be here waiting for me to pack away (and hate EVERY minute) after we come back from my Mums ~ making it even worse! PLUS ~ we will not actually be here to enjoy or benefit from any of the decoration!!!
SO.........I have a dilema!! Part of me is really mean (tee hee) and thinks that I will just do the minimum that I have to here (baah humbug!!) ~ as the children will have all the fun of decorating the tree at my mums and putting up the decorations and all that Christmassy bit! (and I have none of the putting it all away part!!) ~ but I really don't want to put up all the decorations and a huge big tree ~ but I know that the children will not be impressed with having an undecorated house until the 3rd week of december (yes ~ I am scrooge!!) ~ SO ~ I am thinking that I will put out the decorations on the fireplace and the ones that flash in the window ~ and maybe buy a smaller pre decorated fibre optic tree ~ that can be just put in a box when we come back and doesn't have to be taken apart and I won't have to spend 3 million years taking off all the baubles and lights blaah blaaaah blaaaahhhh!!!
Please can I just add at this point that I do actually LOVE Christmas ~ all of it ~ crackers, tinsel, mince pies, christmas pud and brandy butter ~ carols, snow and all that jazz.......I just cannot cope with an almost 6 hour trip back here in the New Year ~ to be faced with santas grotto (which it resembled last year!!) ~ and me having to clear it away (that's all ~ honest!!)
So, do you think that sounds acceptable ~ a very minimal christmas here ~ followed by the full works at my Mums (she isn't aware of this plan yet ~ she knows that we are coming ~ but not the part about making it look like Santas Grotto!!! ~ I will break that to her once we are there bahahahahah!!!!!)........
I have been online and found a great fibre optic tree ~ that has stars on it and looks really wonderful ~ I just have to convince my 2 little stars that they don't need a 6ft tree this year ~ and we definitly don't need 300 twinkling icicles hung around the outside windows ~ which I nearly broke my neck putting up....and taking down last year! ~ REMEMBER ~ I love christmas honestly............I maybe just need an elf (or Daniel Craig in an elf outfit tee hee!!!) to come and help me decorate for Christmas ......and then magically UNDECORATE it for me when New Year arrives!!
